Red Nose Day
The children raised a fantastic amount for Red Nose Day and all took part in a drawing competition created by the Church Ambassadors.
On Monday the Church Ambassadors chose the winners of our competition as their drawings were fantastic! Well done Riley and Zach!
Chicks!
Year 5 have been very excited to have some special visitors in class this week; seven new born chicks with hopefully some more on the way! All the classes have been to have a look at the new additions and it has been wonderful to see the pupil's awe and wonder!

Year 4 at Selby Reading Festival
Last Thursday all our school went to the Abbey to visit the Selby Reading Festival. Year 4 were lucky enough to spend an amazing hour with the brilliant author, Andy Seed. He shared jokes and poems from his fantastic book 'The Silly book of Side Splitting Stuff'. We had a great time and Andy certainly inspired us to read more often!
Year 4 Red Nose day
We had a great time on Friday raising money for Comic Relief. We all came to school in our own clothes and wore our red noses!

Reading Festival - Ms Broxup's class
In year 3 we know that reading is an essential life skill. On Thursday 23rd March, we had a wonderful opportunity to meet with Donavan Christopher, a rap poet and cultural reggae artist, and listen to some of his poems.
Red Nose Day - Ms Broxup's class
On Friday 24th March, we designed our own red noses and came to school dressed in our own clothes. Our fundraising efforts will make a huge difference to children living tough lives across UK and in some of the world's poorest communities.
