Maths Day
Year 4 did some cross curricular work this afternoon to celebrate World Maths day. In geography, we have been researching mountain ranges and looking at the highest mountains in the UK. We collated all of our information and made bar graphs to show the height of the largest peaks in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
British Science week
Here are some more photos from year 4's visit to Brayton Academy today.
All the children had an amazing time using forensic science to solve a crime!

In Digital
leaders we have been doing animations on
scratch. We have been making the sprites move, speak to each other and make
noises. Some of us have been able to clone a scratch. We all have different, creative
ideas.

Year 1 and Year 4 Shared Reading
To celebrate World Book Day, Year 1 came to visit Year 4 this morning.
Year 4 selected story books which they beautifully read to Year 1. Year 1 were exceptionally well behaved and could answer lots of questions
Some quotes from Year 4:
"I enjoyed reading to Year 1. They carefully listened and could answer lots of questions."
"I really liked having the opportunity to just read to other children."
"I enjoyed asking the children lots of questions. I also liked reading to them."

Sir Edmund Hillary
In Literacy, we have been creating a mind map about Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay. During this time we found loads of facts out. We are then going to write a biography about his life.
