Year 4 Maths Day

To celebrate World Maths Day and British Science Week, Year 4 were very busy with chocolate!

We created an investigation to look at which temperature of what would melt chocolate the best. We used measuring jugs to measure amounts of water and placed these into trays.

We used thermometers to measure the temperature of the water.

We then presented our results in a bar graph.

We then created our own chocolate crispy cakes.

Science Day Year 3 - Ms Broxup's class

We all love a good detective story. On Science Day, we all worked together, as forensic scientists, collecting and examining evidence to solve the given puzzle. These are some pictures of our great teamwork.

On Maths Day in Year 3, we had a lot of fun designing our own robots using 2D shapes. We labelled the shapes and then wrote their properties. These are some pictures of our fantastic work.

We had a great time celebrating World Book Day this year. We came to school dressed as our favourite characters, worked in groups to write and illustrate our own books and did a paired read with Mrs Ward's class. Here are some pictures from the day!

     World Book Day! 

This morning, we all celebrated our favourite day, Wednesday! No just kidding we celebrated World book day and we came into the school grounds in our amazing costumes and year six did something really special...

Our class got split into two groups one with Mrs op den Brouw and one with Mrs Haigh and we started writing books about magical adventures Mrs op den Brouw and Mrs Haigh went on. They were called Abducted By Aliens and Rocky Ride! 

Science week

This week we have enjoyed talking about and investigating plants and growing. We have planted our own beans and watched them grow.
